Regular Season Round 12: Pat City - El Progreso 82-85

The most exciting game of round 12 in the Liga Metropolitana took place in Guatemala. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th ranked Pat City (3-6) to second ranked El Progreso (6-1) 85-82 on Monday evening. It was a good game for Marcus Faison who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Sebastian Tabata contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four El Progreso players scored in double figures. American point guard Thomas Doyle (185, college: Chapman) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds and Khumar Kemp added 31 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Pat City. El Progreso maintains second position with 6-1 record behind leader Solola. Pat City lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Leones. El Progreso are looking forward to face Forza (#3) in Guatemala in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Pat City will have a break next round.
