Regular Season Round 1: Halcones - PSN 99-66

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Guatemala: Halcones and PSN. Halcones crushed visiting PSN by 33 points 99-66. Halcones forced 25 PSN turnovers. PSN was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard David Monterroso (180-1979) nailed 24 points for the winning side and Salgado Salgado accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Halcones players scored in double figures. Guard Julio Fernandez (190-2010) came up with 12 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Ivan Fernandez (178-2008) added 14 points respectively for PSN in the defeat. PSN's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Halcones' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Guatemala Pat City.
