Regular Season Round 2: Halcones - Pat City 89-74

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Guatemala: Halcones and Pat City. Halcones won against visiting Pat City 89-74. Center Mario Reyes (-2001) scored 27 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard David Monterroso (180-1979) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Halcones' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Corey No Tengo responded with 41 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and Cristian Florian (-2000) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Halcones will meet Coyotes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pat City's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Guatemala to the arena USAC.
