Regular Season Round 1: Toritas - Huskys 67-59

Everything went according to plan in Celaya where Toritas beat Huskys 67-59 on Sunday. Toritas forced 27 Huskys turnovers. Maria Salazar stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and Stephanie Lopez chipped in 5 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side Emily Herrejon responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Raisa Valdes scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toritas is looking forward to face Dragonas in Toluca in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Huskys will play at home against Univ. Modelo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
