Bottom-rankedFaraones is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to second ranked Ciudad (9-2) 146-88 on Saturday evening. Indios made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Indios outrebounded Faraones 57-44 including a 42-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Indios shot the lights out from three sinking 26 long-distance shots on high 55.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Faraones ' players. American guard A.J. Banks (188-1997, college: Wyoming) nailed 25 points and 6 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Tomas Nuno (196-1998, college: CMU) accounted for 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Banks is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Ciudad players scored in double figures. Ciudad's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tyrone Jones came up with 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and American center Riley Brahin (, college: UFTL) added 20 points and 16 rebounds respectively for Faraones in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ciudad . Indios maintains second place with 9-2 record having 2 victories less than leader Apaches. Faraones lost their eleventh game in a row. They still close the standings with 11 games lost.
