Regular Season Round 13: Apaches - Pioneros 111-92

An interesting game forApaches (11-2) which hosted in Chihuahua 3rd placed Pioneros (8-4). First ranked Apaches had an easy win 111-92 . Apaches made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Apaches players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Pioneros were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Power forward Makhi Mitchell (206-2000, college: Arkansas) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and guard Jimond Ivey (196-1996, college: Akron) chipped in 25 points and 6 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Five Apaches players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Deion McClenton (208, college: Keiser) responded with 31 points and 9 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) and power forward Raphiael Putney (207-1990, college: UMass) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Apaches have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-2 record. Pioneros at the other side keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Dorados.
