An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Chihuahua. First rankedApaches faced their biggest opponent Ciudad . Host Apaches (12-2) defeated guests from Ciudad Juarez (10-4) 99-92 . Apaches forced 24 Indios turnovers. Strangely Indios outrebounded Apaches 49-36 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Apaches players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Makhi Mitchell (206-2000, college: Arkansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. International guard Karim Rodriguez (196-1988) contributed with 29 points for the winners. American center Eric Thompson (204-1993, college: Pacific, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 18 rebounds and his fellow American import guard AJ Banks (188-1997, college: Wyoming) added 15 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Indios. Four Apaches and five Indios players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Apaches have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-2 record. Indios at the other side keep the second place with four games lost.
