Regular Season Round 18: Apaches - Toros 122-100

LBE top team -Apaches (14-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Toros (9-7) in Chihuahua 122-100 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Toros. They outrebounded Toros 45-31 including 35 on the defensive glass. Apaches players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. American power forward Makhi Mitchell (206-2000, college: Arkansas) had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 16-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Karim Rodriguez (196-1988) chipped in 31 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Apaches' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American center Gerard DeVaughn (205-1988, college: Stillman) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import guard Justin Bibbs (196-1996, college: Virginia Tech) scored 23 points and 4 assists. Four Apaches and five Toros players scored in double figures. Apaches have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-2 record. Toros at the other side keep the fifth place with seven games lost.
