Rather expected game when bottom-rankedRayos de Hermosillo (0-2) was smashed on the road by sixth ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (2-2) 102-74 on Tuesday. Guaymas dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Rayos de Hermosillo 's 34. They outrebounded Hermosillo 45-28 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guaymas looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Hermosillo 's players. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by point guard Pierre Crockrell II (183-2000, college: UC Irvine) who scored that evening 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Issa Muhammad (206-2001, college: UT Martin) supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by guard Khalil Iverson (196-1997, college: Wisconsin) did not help to save the game for Hermosillo . Forward Cameron Christon (198-1999, college: GSU) added 12 points for lost side. Five Guaymas and four Hermosillo players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guaymas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Tijuana. Defending champion Hermosillo still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Obregon.
