Regular Season Round 12: Mieleras - Penguins 99-40

LMBPF top team -Mieleras (13-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Penguins (1-10) in Guanajuato 99-40 . Mieleras forced 32 Penguins turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Penguins ' players. Worth to mention a quality performance of American Veronica Preciado (174-1997, college: CMU) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 steals and naturalized American guard Mia Castaneda (168-1998, college: Washburn) who added 18 points during the contest. Castaneda is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Mieleras players scored in double figures. Mieleras' coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Giselle Medina with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Daniela Campuzano scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Mieleras have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-0 record. Newly promoted Penguins stay at the bottom place with ten games lost.
