No shocking result in a game when fourth rankedMineras (7-4) beat 7th ranked Toritas (2-9) in Zacatecas 65-55 on Saturday. Mineras forced 19 Toritas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by guard Alma Dominguez (163-1997) who scored that evening 17 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Maria Faz (187-1994) supported her with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Mineras' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Even 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Cuban forward Suanly Tanis (178-1994) did not help to save the game for Toritas . Grecia Zarco added 9 points and 7 rebounds. Mineras have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Univ. Modelo. Toritas lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Huskys.
