Very expected game in Zacatecas where 7th rankedToritas (2-10) were defeated by third ranked Mineras (8-4) 85-67 on Sunday. Mineras looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. International guard Karla Martinez (175-2000, college: San Diego) fired 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American guard Briahanna Jackson (168-1993, college: Louisville) chipped in 22 points and 7 assists. Mineras' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Cuban forward Suanly Tanis (178-1994) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and Yesica Vallejo added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Mineras . They maintain third place with 8-4 record having eight points less than leader Mieleras. Toritas lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Huskys.
