There was a minor upset in Ciudad de Mexico where second-bestAngeles (9-5) were defeated by fifth ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (9-8) 89-85 on Sunday. Tijuana shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was center Chris Ware (203-1989, college: Indiana Tech) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Alex Kaye Williams (203-1993) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists. Tijuana Zonkeys' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Terrell Brown (185-1998, college: NM State) who recorded 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Daytone Jennings (206-1997, college: CSUSB, agency: SLN) added 25 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tijuana moved-up to fourth place. Loser Angeles keep the second position with five games lost.
