Everything could happen in Merida at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth rankedUniv. Modelo and 5th ranked Dragonas had identical 8-7 record. This time Univ. Modelo used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Toluca 58-54 . Univ. Modelo had a 35-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international point guard Melissa Ruiz (162-2002) nailed 12 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Adriana Gonzalez (181-2001) accounted for 19 points. Sharon Saucedo came up with 7 points and 10 rebounds and Paola Velazquez added 14 points respectively for Dragonas in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
