There was a minor upset when 7th rankedHalcones de Ciudad Obregon (6-9) was edged on the road by bottom-ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (3-12) 74-73 on Tuesday. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was point guard Bryce Griggs (188-2003) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Cameron Christon (198-1999, college: GSU) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Greg Whittington (205-1993, college: Georgetown) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Tomas Nuno (196-1998, college: CMU) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Obregon players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains tenth position with 3-12 record. Loser Halcones de Ciudad Obregon keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. They share the position with Mazatlan.
