The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedAstros (14-2) in Guadalajara on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (9-8) 117-108 . Tijuana shot 61.2 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 55.9 percentage. Tijuana looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Cameron Mitchell (195-1992, college: IU Southeast) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists and forward Cameron Martin (206-1998, college: Boise St.) who added 23 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Armani Chaney (178-1997, college: Tennessee St.) with 31 points and 6 assists and forward Bryan Jefferson (201-1994, college: Mary) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five Tijuana and four Astros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tijuana moved-up to fourth place. Astros at the other side still keep top position with two games lost.
