The most exciting game of round 13 in the CIBACOPA took place in Tijuana. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th rankedOstioneros de Guaymas (7-9) to fourth ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (10-8) 108-106 on Saturday evening. Tijuana made 32-of-38 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. 29 personal fouls committed by Guaymas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Evan Gilyard II (180-1998, college: UMKC) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 6 assists. Forward Cameron Martin (206-1998, college: Boise St.) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. Gilyard II is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Horace Spencer (206-1997, college: Auburn) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and guard Andy Cleaves II (188-1996, college: CS Stanislaus) added 17 points in the effort for Guaymas. Four Tijuana and five Guaymas players scored in double figures. Tijuana moved-up to second place. Guaymas at the other side keep the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Mazatlan and Obregon.
