Halcones de Ciudad Obregon managed to secure a 8-point victory 90-82 on Saturday. Strangely Mazatlan outrebounded Obregon 44-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. American players dominated also this game. The winners were led by Greg Whittington (205-1993, college: Georgetown) who scored that evening 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and forward Connor Zinaich (201-1997, college: Nova SE) supported him with 29 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Even a double-double of 15 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists by Xavier White (203, college: Midland CC) did not help to save the game for Mazatlan . Center Riley Brahin (211, college: UFTL) added 13 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Five Mazatlan players scored in double figures. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 16-10 record having six points less than leader Astros. Loser Venados keeps the sixth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Guaymas.
