Everything went according to plan when third rankedHalcones de Ciudad Obregon (19-11) won against at home 7th ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (12-17) 86-78 on Tuesday. American players dominated the game. Greg Whittington (205-1993, college: Georgetown) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Connor Zinaich (201-1997, college: Nova SE) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Teddy Allen (198-1998, college: NM State) with 20 points and forward Kevin Cross (201-2000, college: Tulane, agency: One Motive Sports) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Obregon and four Tijuana players scored in double figures. Tijuana Zonkeys' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Obregon maintains third place with 19-11 record having just two points less than leader Astros. Loser Tijuana Zonkeys keeps the seventh position with 17 games lost.
