There was a small surprise when ninth rankedVenados (12-19) edged on the road 7th ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (14-18) 97-95 on Saturday. Mazatlan made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Xavier White (203, college: Midland CC) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Troy Cracknell (193-1999, college: Augusta, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 28 points (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by guard Sherif Gross-Bullock (196-1999, college: Bryant) did not help to save the game for Hermosillo . TJ Clark (193-2003) added 17 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Five Hermosillo players scored in double figures. Mazatlan maintains ninth position with 12-19 record. Defending champion Hermosillo dropped to the sixth place with 18 games lost.
