Important game to mention about took place in Guaymas. Fifth rankedOstioneros de Guaymas (16-17) saved a 2-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Caballeros de Culiacan (17-16) 110-108 on Friday evening. Guaymas players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by guard Jimond Ivey (196-1996, college: Akron) who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 10 assists and point guard Quade Green (183-1998, college: Washington) supported him with 22 points and 6 assists. Even 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists by guard Isaac Hamilton (196-1994, college: UCLA) did not help to save the game for Culiacan . Guard Jarron Cumberland (196-1997, college: Cincinnati) added 18 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Four Culiacan players scored in double figures. Guaymas maintains fifth position with 16-17 record. Culiacan lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 16 games lost.
