Regular Season Round 13: Adelitas - Freseras 80-94

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Adelitas (11-1) in Chihuahua on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Freseras (5-7) 94-80. Freseras looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Miya Crump (185, college: Jackson St., agency: Next Page Sports) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Destiny Pitts (178-1999, college: Texas A&M) contributed with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and guard Kristen Spolyar (178-1997, college: Butler) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Adelitas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Freseras maintains fourth place with 5-7 record, which they share with El Calor. Adelitas at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. Freseras is looking forward to face Correcaminos (#6) in Ciudad Victoria in the next round. Adelitas will play at home against Abejas (#8) and are hoping to win this game.
