Regular Season Round 14: El Calor - Rojas 116-70

Rather expected game when 7th rankedRojas (3-11) were crushed on the road by fourth ranked El Calor (7-7) 116-70 on Friday. El Calor dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Rojas ' 38. El Calor forced 19 Rojas turnovers and outrebounded them 44-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. El Calor looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Rojas ' players. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was swingman IimarI Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). Guard Rennia Davis (188-1999, college: Tennessee) chipped in a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Five El Calor players scored in double figures. El Calor's coach Juan Jose Pidal felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Donasja Scott (180-1997, college: GSU) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard Briahanna Jackson (168-1993, college: Louisville) added 15 points respectively for the guests. El Calor maintains fourth position with 7-7 record. Rojas lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 11 games lost.
