Important game to mention about took place in Ciudad Victoria. Fifth ranked Correcaminos (6-8) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Freseras (5-9) 75-72 in the fight for the fifth place. Correcaminos forced 19 Freseras turnovers. American swingman Jazmine Jones (183-1996, college: Louisville) notched 13 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward DreUna Edwards (183-2000, college: Baylor) supported her with 15 points and 4 assists. Five Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds by American center Quay Miller (190-2001, college: Colorado, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Freseras. Rwandan center Bella Murekatete (192-2000, college: WSU) added 6 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Freseras' coach Christopher Gutierrez tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Correcaminos have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 6-8 record. Freseras lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with nine games lost.
