No shocking result in a game when top-rankedDiablos (4-0) smashed at home 9th ranked Freseras (1-3) 122-66 on Sunday. Diablos shot 64.4 percent from the field. Diablos outrebounded Freseros 37-24 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Diablos shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Freseros ' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Michael Smith (193-1995, college: CBU) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Alphonso Anderson (198-1997, college: Pacific) who added 19 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side American guard Harrison Butler (196, college: SUU) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian guard Marko Lukic (201-1999, college: Denver) scored 14 points. Four Diablos and five Freseros players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Diablos have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Freseros lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
