Regular Season Round 5: El Calor - Mineros 72-81

LNBP top team -Mineros (3-1) managed to deliver another win on Thursday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked El Calor (1-3) in Cancun 81-72 . The best player for the winners was Spanish center Victor Arteaga (212-1992) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. American-Argentinian guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Mineros players scored in double figures. Argentinian-Italian point guard Lucas Faggiano (188-1989, college: LIU Brooklyn) produced 8 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Argentinian swingman Martin Fernandez (195-1997) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mineros have a solid series of three victories in a row. Despite that victory Mineros went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with Fuerza Regia and Dorados. El Calor lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
