Regular Season Round 7: Diablos - Santos 97-92

Everything went according to plan when fourth rankedDiablos (5-1) defeated at home bottom-ranked Santos (1-5) 97-92 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Diablos looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Venezuelan forward Michael Carrera (196-1993, college: S.Carolina, agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Alphonso Anderson (198-1997, college: Pacific) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Diablos' coach Nicolas Casalanguida used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Jaire Grayer (196-1996, college: TCU) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Santos in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Diablos moved-up to second place, which they share with Mineros. Loser Santos dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with Panteras and Abejas.
