Not a big story in a game in Zacatecas where 14th rankedSantos (1-11) were defeated by fourth ranked Mineros (9-3) 84-66 . Mineros outrebounded Santos 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. Mineros players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by Bosnian Mirza Bulic (207-1992) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and center Victor Arteaga (212-1992) supported him with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Mineros players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds by American power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) did not help to save the game for Santos . His fellow American import forward Markedric Bell (203-1999, college: PVAMU) added 12 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mineros moved-up to second place, which they share with Fuerza Regia and Diablos. Santos lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost.
