There was no surprise in Guanajuato where 11th rankedAbejas (3-7) were defeated by sixth ranked Dorados (8-4) 78-69 . Dorados made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Dorados brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The winners were led by American Tyren Johnson (202-1988, college: Louisiana) who scored that evening 16 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import power forward Charles Mitchell (203-1993, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Dorados players scored in double figures. Even 8 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by Croatian-American point guard Nikolas Tomsick (185-1991, college: Fort Lewis) did not help to save the game for Abejas . Puerto Rican Jorge Torres (196-2000) added 10 points and 9 rebounds. Abejas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dorados have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 8-4 record. Abejas at the other side keep the eleventh place with seven games lost.
