Regular Season Round 2: Dragonas - Toritas 82-84

Important game to mention about took place in Toluca. Toritas saved a 2-point victory on the road edging Dragonas 84-82 in the game for the third place. Toritas forced 19 Dragonas turnovers and had a 16-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ana Sanchez had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Yesica Vallejo chipped in 20 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Toritas' coach Adriana Montanez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Paola Velazquez responded with 24 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and American guard Rachel Theriot (182-1994, college: Nebraska) scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Toritas and four Dragonas players scored in double figures. Toritas will play against Mieleras in Guanajuato in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dragonas will play on the road against Mineras in Zacatecas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
