The biggest surprise of round 3 in CIBACOPA took place in Guaymas where hostOstioneros de Guaymas (2-2) beat Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (3-1) 107-101 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was Canadian guard Olumide Adelodun (196-2003, college: Niagara) who scored 37 points (!!!). American guard Xavier Pinson (190-2000, college: NM State) chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jaden House (193, college: URI) who recorded 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) added 24 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
