Regular Season Round 6: Apaches - Dorados 79-88

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Chihuahua:Dorados (#1) and Apaches (#2). Apaches were defeated at home 79-88 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Dorados forced 23 Apaches turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Apaches helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American power forward Charles Mitchell (203-1993, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Jose Cruz Abarca (-1999) contributed with 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Panamanian-Chilean point guard Eugenio Luzcando Bocaz (190-1995, college: Idaho St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 assists and 4 steals and American guard Daniel Bejarano (193-1991, college: Colorado St.) added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Apaches. Four Apaches players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dorados (12-0) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 12 victories in a row. Apaches at the other side keep the second place with four games lost.
