There was a minor upset when 7th rankedAngeles (3-6) lost on the road to ninth ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (2-5) 102-98 on Saturday. American power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) nailed 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Isaac Hamilton (196-1994, college: UCLA) accounted for 22 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Dayon Griffin (195-1995, college: UCF) came up with 27 points and 4 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Nigerian-American forward Chuba Ohams (206-1997, college: Fordham, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Angeles in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Culiacan maintains ninth place with 2-5 record, which they share with Los Mochis and Hermosillo. Loser Angeles dropped to the eighth position with six games lost.
