An interesting game took place in Ciudad de Mexico where 7th rankedOstioneros de Guaymas (3-6) were upset on the court of tenth ranked Angeles (4-7) 101-76 . Angeles dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Ostioneros de Guaymas ' 38. It was an exceptional evening for Nigerian-American forward Chuba Ohams (206-1997, college: Fordham, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. American power forward Jacob Calloway (203-1996, college: SUU) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Four Angeles players scored in double figures. American point guard Amir Spears (190-2001, college: UTSA) came up with 20 points and 4 assists and the other American import forward Max Agbonkpolo (206-2000, college: Montana St.) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Guaymas in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Angeles moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Mazatlan. Guaymas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with six games lost.
