Very predictable result when third rankedTijuana Zonkeys (9-5) edged at home bottom-ranked Venados (4-10) 91-88 on Friday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American guard Drew Buggs (190-1997, college: Winthrop) fired 26 points and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Nigerian-American power forward TK Edogi (203-1994, college: Iona) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures. Tijuana Zonkeys' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Jeff Ledbetter (191-1988, college: Idaho, agency: Slash Sports) produced 20 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Clyde Trapp (193-1998, college: Charlotte) added 22 points respectively for lost side. Tijuana Zonkeys have a solid three-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Obregon lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Mazatlan lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with ten games lost. They share the position with Culiacan.
