There was no surprise when 10th rankedVenados (4-10) were defeated on the road by third ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (9-5) 107-98 on Saturday. American guard Shane Rector (188-1994, college: Utah St.) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Trinidad and Tobago center Jabari Narcis (206-1997, college: UT Arlington, agency: MSG) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Tijuana Zonkeys' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Clyde Trapp (193-1998, college: Charlotte) produced 20 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import Tyree Robinson (196-1995, college: ETAMU, agency: Haylett Sports) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Tijuana Zonkeys have a solid three-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Obregon lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Mazatlan lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with ten games lost. They share the position with Culiacan.
