There was no surprise when 9th rankedOstioneros de Guaymas (4-10) were defeated at home by third ranked Toros (9-5) 89-82 on Tuesday. Toros made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international Gabriel Giron (192-1988) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-1989, college: SF Austin) helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds. Toros' coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. American guard Gage Davis-McMurrin (195-1995, college: St.Cloud St.) responded with 25 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Isaiah Powell (198-1999, college: Vermont) scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Toros . They moved-up to second place, which they share with Obregon. Guaymas lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Culiacan.
