Important game to mention about took place in Culiacan. Ninth rankedCaballeros de Culiacan (6-10) saved a 2-point victory at home edging top-ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (11-7) 90-88 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Culiacan made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Tijuana outrebounded Culiacan 46-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Roddy Peters (193-1995, college: Nicholls) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the other American import forward Tre McCallum (201-1995, college: DePaul, agency: MSG) who added 22 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Jaquan Lightfoot (203, college: Southeastern) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Trinidad and Tobago center Jabari Narcis (206-1997, college: UT Arlington, agency: MSG) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four Culiacan and five Tijuana players scored in double figures. Tijuana Zonkeys' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Caballeros de Culiacan have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Hermosillo. Tijuana at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost.
