Rather expected game in Mazatlan where 11th rankedVenados (4-14) were defeated by ninth ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (7-11) 105-87 on Monday. Guaymas outrebounded Mazatlan 42-24 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Gage Davis-McMurrin (195-1995, college: St.Cloud St.) fired 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import point guard Amir Spears (190-2001, college: UTSA) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. Ostioneros de Guaymas' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Canadian guard Devonte Bandoo (190-1996, college: Baylor) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Clyde Trapp (193-1998, college: Charlotte) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Five Guaymas and four Mazatlan players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ostioneros de Guaymas . They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Hermosillo. Mazatlan lost their ninth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost.
