There was a small surprise when fifth rankedFrayles de Guasave (10-8) won against at home much higher ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (12-8) 88-81 on Wednesday. American guard Jemerrio Jones (196-1995, college: NM State, agency: JCK Sports Group) fired 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American-South Sudanese forward Jay Pal (206-2000, college: SDSU, agency: JCK Sports Group) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Drew Buggs (190-1997, college: Winthrop) produced 27 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import power forward Alex Williams (203-1993) added 24 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tijuana Zonkeys' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Frayles moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Angeles. Loser Tijuana Zonkeys keeps the second position with eight games lost.
