An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Tijuana. Second rankedTijuana Zonkeys faced 4th ranked Angeles . Host Tijuana Zonkeys (14-8) smashed guests from Ciudad de Mexico (10-10) 111-87 . Tijuana shot 61.8 percent from the field and made 18-of-18 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Tijuana outrebounded Angeles 35-15 including a 23-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tijuana players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Guard Shane Rector (188-1994, college: Utah St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 5 steals. Forward Jaquan Lightfoot (203, college: Southeastern) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Trahson Burrell (201-1992, college: Memphis) replied with 13 points and 5 assists and guard Dayon Griffin (195-1995, college: UCF) added 18 points in the effort for Angeles. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Angeles' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Tijuana maintains second position with 14-8 record having just eight point less than leader Astros. Angeles at the other side keep the fourth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Toros and Frayles.
