Everything went according to plan when eighth rankedRayos de Hermosillo (9-13) defeated at home bottom-ranked Venados (5-17) 96-85 on Tuesday. It was an exceptional evening for American-Argentinian guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) who led the winners and scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. American power forward Terrell Brown-Soares (208-1998, college: San Diego) accounted for 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Rayos de Hermosillo's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Dakota Quinn (206-1997, college: MNU) came up with 21 points and the other American import power forward Khydarius Smith (203-2001, college: UMBC) added 16 points respectively for Mazatlan in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hermosillo maintains eighth place with 9-13 record. Mazatlan lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost.
