Not a big story in a game when 7th rankedToros (10-12) lost to third ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (14-6) in Nuevo Laredo 82-90 on Tuesday. Obregon outrebounded Toros 45-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Jaden House (193, college: URI) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Five Halcones de Ciudad Obregon players scored in double figures. The former international Gabriel Giron (192-1988) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Chilean point guard Franco Ordenes (181-1992) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Toros in the defeat. Toros' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Toros lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 12 games lost.
