There was no surprise when 10th rankedCaballeros de Culiacan (7-15) lost to fourth ranked Angeles (12-10) in Ciudad de Mexico 88-97 on Wednesday. Angeles dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Caballeros de Culiacan 's 34 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Culiacan 35-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Angeles looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Nigerian-American forward Chuba Ohams (206-1997, college: Fordham, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Dayon Griffin (195-1995, college: UCF) accounted for 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. American forward Brandon Porter (206-1999, college: CPP, agency: Starting 5) came up with 27 points and the other American import forward Tre McCallum (201-1995, college: DePaul, agency: MSG) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Culiacan in the defeat. Five Angeles and four Culiacan players scored in double figures. Angeles maintains fourth place with 12-10 record, which they share with Frayles. Loser Caballeros de Culiacan keeps the tenth position with 15 games lost.
