Not a big story in a game when 7th rankedAbejas (2-8) lost to third ranked Fuerza Regia (8-2) in Leon 74-92 on Thursday. Fuerza Regia made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. American swingman Destiny Adams (190-2003, college: Rutgers) nailed 22 points and 6 steals for the winning side and her fellow American import guard Morgan Jones (188-1999, college: Louisville) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds. Nigerian forward Lucy Ibeh (183-2000, college: TCU) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Senegalese swingman Yacine Diop (178-1995, college: Louisville) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Abejas in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Fuerza Regia . They moved-up to second place, which they share with Adelitas. Abejas lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Correcaminos and Freseras.
