There was a small surprise when eighth rankedSantas (1-9) beat 6th ranked Freseras (2-8) in Potosi 83-76 on Friday. Santas forced 20 Freseras turnovers. U.S. Virgin Islands guard Taylor Jones (173-1997, college: Oakland) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American guard Kaia Harrison (172-2001, college: Wake Forest) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds. Ghanian-American forward Batabe Zempare (191-1994, college: CSUB, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Destiny Harden (183-1998, college: Miami, FL) added 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Freseras in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Santas maintains eighth place with 1-9 record. It was Freseras ' third loss in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Abejas and Correcaminos.
