There was no surprise when 8th rankedOstioneros de Guaymas (10-14) were defeated on the road by third ranked Frayles de Guasave (16-10) 112-108 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Frayles looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Frayles made 9 blocks. American guard Trey Phipps (188, college: Northeastern St., agency: Origins Sports Group) stepped up and scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and British V.Islands guard DMoi Hodge (193-1998, college: Missouri) chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Terry Roberts (190-2000, college: Georgia) responded with 29 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Gage Davis-McMurrin (195-1995, college: St.Cloud St.) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Frayles and five Guaymas players scored in double figures. Ostioneros de Guaymas' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Frayles de Guasave have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place with 16-10 record having just three point less than leader Astros. Loser Ostioneros de Guaymas keep the eighth position with 14 games lost.
