There was an upset when higher rankedTijuana Zonkeys (16-16) were outplayed at home by tenth ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (13-19) 114-94 on Saturday. Culiacan shot 63.2 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Culiacan looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tre McCallum (201-1995, college: DePaul, agency: MSG) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import point guard Roddy Peters (193-1995, college: Nicholls) who added 18 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Caballeros de Culiacan's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international point guard Omar De Haro (188-1995) responded with 24 points and 4 assists and American power forward Alex Williams (203-1993) scored 24 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Five Culiacan and four Tijuana players scored in double figures. Caballeros de Culiacan have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Hermosillo. Tijuana lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 16 games lost.
