Regular Season Round 20: Astros - Mazatlan 122-74

Date: April 25, 2026
Very predictable result in Guadalajara where first ranked Astros (24-1) outscored bottom-ranked Venados (5-22) 122-74 on Saturday. Astros shot 62.7 percent from the field. Astros had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Chris Perry (203-1994, college: LMU) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Trey Burke (183-1992, college: Michigan) who added 19 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Center Dakota Quinn (206-1997, college: MNU) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Anthony Nelson (193-1998, college: Manhattan) scored 13 points and 7 assists. Five Astros and four Mazatlan players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Astros have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-1 record. Mazatlan lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Astros will meet Guaymas (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mazatlan will play against Obregon and hope to secure a win.
