No shocking result in a game when sixth rankedCaballeros de Culiacan (17-21) beat 9th ranked Toros (16-20) in Nuevo Laredo 110-100 on Friday. The winners were led by American point guard Roddy Peters (193-1995, college: Nicholls) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals and the other American import forward Tre McCallum (201-1995, college: DePaul, agency: MSG) supported him with 26 points and 6 rebounds. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by the former international Gabriel Giron (192-1988) did not help to save the game for Toros . Jamaican-American guard Rashad James (185-1990, college: Iona) added 19 points. Five Culiacan and four Toros players scored in double figures. Toros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Caballeros de Culiacan have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 17-21 record. Loser Toros dropped to the eighth place with 20 games lost.
